Health & Safety

Your health and safety are a priority for Alma Sol. We have taken all reasonable steps to create a safe and comfortable environment and ask all guests to cooperate with the guidelines below. While we take every reasonable precaution, participation in retreat activities is voluntary and at your own risk. These guidelines support, but do not replace, your personal responsibility or professional medical advice.

1. Medical Information

  • Closer to your retreat date, Alma Sol will contact you to collect details of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements. Please ensure this information is accurate and complete when requested.

  • Bring an adequate supply of any required medications and ensure you know how to administer them. Alma Sol does not hold or administer medication on behalf of guests.

  • Guests with severe allergies must carry appropriate emergency medication (such as an EpiPen) and declare this to Alma Sol in advance.

  • In the event of a medical emergency, Alma Sol will assist in contacting appropriate local emergency services. We do not provide medical professionals onsite and are not responsible for medical care.

2. First Aid and Emergency Procedures

  • A first aid kit will be available onsite at all retreats.

  • Emergency contact details and the location of the nearest medical facilities will be shared with all guests prior to arrival.

  • In the event of an emergency, please follow Alma Sol's instructions and proceed to the designated assembly point for the venue.

  • Alma Sol does not provide professional medical services. Where emergency medical attention is required, local emergency services will be contacted immediately.

3. Accommodation Safety

  • On arrival, please familiarise yourself with the venue layout, including the locations of emergency exits and evacuation routes.

  • Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues to Alma Sol immediately.

  • Do not tamper with fire alarms, fire safety equipment, or emergency signage. Deliberate interference with safety equipment will result in removal from the retreat without refund.

  • Guests are responsible for the security of their own personal belongings. Alma Sol accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

4. Food, Meals and Dietary Requirements

  • Dietary requirements and food allergies will be collected by Alma Sol closer to the retreat date. Please provide complete and accurate information when asked.

  • While all reasonable care is taken in food preparation, Alma Sol cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens. Guests with severe allergies must carry appropriate emergency medication.

  • If you have specific concerns about how food is prepared or handled, please raise these with Alma Sol as early as possible.

5. Physical Activities and Outdoor Sessions

  • Some retreat activities may involve light physical activity or time outdoors. Only participate in activities you feel physically and medically comfortable undertaking.

  • Please notify Alma Sol of any health conditions that may affect your participation in planned activities.

  • Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for any outdoor or physical activities.

  • Guests are responsible for their own physical wellbeing during activities.

6. Hydration, Sun Safety and Wellbeing

  • Stay well hydrated, particularly during warmer weather or outdoor activities. Water will be available throughout the retreat.

  • Apply sunscreen with a high SPF for any outdoor activities, particularly between 10am and 4pm.

  • Take rest breaks as needed and listen to your body. Alma Sol encourages all guests to prioritise their own comfort and wellbeing.

  • If you feel unwell at any point during the retreat, please inform Alma Sol immediately.

7. Respect for Others and the Venue

  • Guests are expected to treat fellow participants, Alma Sol, and venue staff with courtesy and respect at all times.

  • Smoking is not permitted indoors at any retreat venue.

  • Practise good personal hygiene throughout the retreat.

  • Respect the personal space and privacy of fellow guests. Any concerns about another guest's behaviour should be raised privately with Alma Sol.

  • Any damage caused to the venue or property by a guest is their sole financial responsibility.

8. Personal Responsibility and Compliance

By attending an Alma Sol retreat, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to participate. You agree to follow all health, safety, and staff guidance throughout the retreat. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in removal from activities or, in serious cases, from the retreat without refund.
